The Swan House

I took a short hiatus to Atlanta this weekend to spend time with my family there.  It was a fun trip filled with a visit to the Fox Theatre and the Swan House.  While I rush to catch up on everything I'll leave you with some photos of the Swan House.

We had lunch at the restaurant which is housed in the former stables/guest house.  It's a lovely place for a nice ladies lunch.

There's a book that also includes the Swan House, my sister says it's a great read. It's on my list.

In case you are not familiar, the Swan House was built in 1928 for Edward and Emily Inman in Atlanta.  The Inmans commissioned the Atlanta architectural firm of Henz Reid and Adler to design a house in on 28 in the Buckhead section of Atlanta.

Edward Inman died in 1931, but Emily collected her family into the house and lived there until 1965.
The house was also used to film some scenes in the 2013 film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
